By posting traffic updates, users can share the information and make it accessible for all for absolutely FREE. The, traffic reports, are accepted either via email or the web site interface, and are immediately reflected on the map.
This is how it works, in a few simple steps:
You witness the traffic jam. You want to let other people to avoid it.
You send an e-mail about the congestion to TrafficJot.com (learn more about TrafficMail)
OR
You login to TrafficJot.com and create a traffic alert.TrafficJot.com stores and processes submitted information, and then graphically displays it on a map.
People check trafficjot.com and know to avoid the area you have marked, making the jam disappear.
People save time by not being stuck in traffic.

Traffic reports, can be updated, not only by the user who posted the update but by other users. This helps keep existing, traffic reports, up to date. Each traffic report has a ranking system to determine its reliability.
